WHO WE ARE

Center of the Engraving

IN THE REFLECTION OF THE NAVIGLIO BETWEEN FANTASY, ART AND REALITY
For more than forty years, it has overlooked the banks of the Naviglio Grande and represents a pleasant stop in the neighborhood for many enthusiasts, Milanese, travelers, tourists or simply curious: it is the world of the Centro dell'Incisione, the magic of a lost manual art. Beyond the seventeenth-century threshold of one of the oldest farmsteads in the city, you can still admire the forge of works, stopped over time by the grasp of the press: inside the courtyard there is still a print shop that prefers the ancient hand press.

Gigi Pedroli

Gigi Pedroli is there where he works: versatile and original artist, he stands out for the sophisticated elegance of the sign and the phantasmagorical play of colors. His engravings tell, in a fantastic and surreal way, the characters of the reality that surrounds him: men, women, children and animals who, in the shade of talking trees or driving flying cars, dream of new adventures. In the workshop, moreover, between courses, school visits, exhibitions of engraving art and musical evenings in old Milan style, Gabriella passionately illustrates the works of over fifty Italian engravers to the enchanted visitors.
